Norfolk & Suffolk Narrow Gauge Modellers

Our monthly meeting was held a bit later this time, on the 15th, and 15 members came along. There’s only three weeks now to our OPEN HOUSE & EXHIBITION on SEPTEMBER 5th at Barsham & Shipmeadow Village Hall (see “Upcomng Event” page), there’s a welcome to all visitors, please try to come along and see us. Here’s a flavour of the August meetings going’s-on in photos:-

Above and below: Alan had been adding figures to his O-16.5 Dapol Lynton & Barnstaple “Yeo” and Lionheart Trains bogie coaches.
Above and below: Stuart brought his new 009 layout “Fairdale” to test. Very effective scenery and just the right amount of detail. Here’s Freelance Hunslet 0-4-2 “Elizabeth” by Fourdees in action.
Richard displayed his new Rapido Trains/009 Society Kerr Stuart “Sirdar”.
A lovely memorial to local Suffolk trader Graham Peters “The Travelling Friar”, built by David. His mobile fish and chip van would go around the Suffolk villages providing tasty meals.
Graham’s new O9 scale model, a 3D printed kit based on the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway’s “Flower of the Forest” VB loco.
Graham also brought along his O9 layout “Ramsdale”, these are all resin kits seen in the goods siding headed by freelance loco “Orthus”.

Richard was putting together these HOn30 US Skeleton Log Cars….
… a completed Skeleton Log Car model. Kit by Brooks 3D Models (ULSLC1).
A 7mm cottage under construction by Ray for a possible O-16.5 layout.
Nigel was scratch building these 16mm scale wagons based on some small Corris Railway wagons for a proposed layout.
David was mainly testing and adjusting some electronically controlled crossing gates on his Iron Bridge Mill 009 layout.
Bill has completed the scratch built couplings for his 1:16 scale stock.
Neville was building a US Grandt Line “Sheepscot Station” building kit.
Clive was building these Snailbeach District Railways 009 Hopper Wagons by Dundas Models.
Geoff was building a Chivers O-16.5 RC7893 Steel Dropside Wagon.
Stuart’s very effective card buildings built from downloadable Scale Model Scenery kits on his layout “Fairdale”.
