July 2026 Meeting

Norfolk & Suffolk Narrow Gauge Modellers

11 members met at our base Barsham & Shipmeadow Village Hall on 4th July. And a note please to members that our August meeting will be later in the month on the 15th August. Here are some photos of the “goings-on”:-

Neville was displaying some recently purchased US On30 locos and a freight car: A BLI 2-8-0, Precision Scale Galloping Goose and a Bachmann Spectrum reefer . A layout by Neville is in the early stages too.
Chris was continuing work on this small station building and modifying an engine shed for a new O9 layout.
Above two photos: Richard was working on some 3d printed wagons and a brake van by Inoxion Models. The wagons come in 2-3 parts that have to removed off the print supports first. Graham Farish metal wheels were added after assembly.
Bill was adding handmade couplings to some wagons from wire and plastic tube then testing them on his 1:16 scale.
Bill has also finished making the 1:16 workers open coach.

Work Tables:-

Alan was painting 4x 3d printed loco crew figures in 7mm and 1x in G scale. 
Ray was scaling up to 7mm a scratchbuilt version of a Metcalfe house using card.
Nigel was displaying some 16mm locos and stock. He was also working on a tram engine using a clockwork mechanism.
Clive was continuing work on a HO Scotia Scale Models wooden boxcar kit. 9mm trucks/bogies have been fitted.
Mike made a start on a Wills timber yard for use on a future HO layout.
David was working on more electronics on his 009 Iron Bridge Mill layout using a I2C bus. 
Geoff was extending some 4mm Train catenary masts into 7mm electric cable posts by extending the base using plasticard to make up the assembly.
