Our Group was formed in 2014 for anyone interested in modelling narrow gauge railways in the popular small scales between 2mm and 16mm. Our members are currently operating completed layouts and building new projects in scales such as 009, O-16.5, O9, H0n3, Gn15, H0e, 00n3 and 1:16 scales. We have novice and more experienced members from all age groups. We can also offer advice, or a chat about narrow gauge modelling. We are also recognised and supported by the 009 Society. Refreshments are available at each meeting.

We meet at monthly intervals (next date shown below) close to the Norfolk/Suffolk border at our base venue, Barsham Village Hall, Barsham, NR34 8HA, two miles west of Beccles on the B1062. Our regular members display completed models, work on projects, kit building, scratch building, layout testing.

We are a small, friendly group and have regular “running days” (small open days) when layouts are operated and displayed. We have also held several well-attended public Exhibitions at Blyburgate Hall in Beccles annually.

OUR REGULAR MEETINGS ARE USUALLY THE FIRST SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH 10AM – 4PM – AT BARSHAM & SHIPMEADOW VILLAGE HALL, NR34 8HA.

SATURDAY 7th FEBRUARY 2026, 10am onwards until 4pm. At our base: Barsham & Shipmeadow Village Hall, Bungay Road, B1062, Barsham, Beccles, NR34 8HA. Refreshments available. Bring along a model to make or display, test-run a layout, or just visit to find out out what we’re all about.
