Our Group had a morning “car boot” meeting on Saturday 5th September outside in the Paddock at Barsham Village Hall. A bright breezy day saw all sorts of models displayed, and again it was a good chance to catch up with other members. Here are a few photos, with apologies for harsh shadows with some in sunlight.
A clever novelty cake layout by Stewart using a Z gauge shortie chassis under the coach. The transformer/controller is under the “cake” made using modroc and filler.
Chris’s 09 diesel tractors, now a fleet of three, with the Soviet BT3 and the Landini now completed to make marvellous contraptions.
Richard was displaying the now-painted and numbered 009 scale WW1 shortened Hunslet for his Beccles & Bungay Railway, and a Caboose being repaired for use on his Empire City Railway.
Barry brought along four second-hand layouts he had obtained. Among them, a double-sided layout with one side modelled in Gn15, in Emmett style, an 0n30 trestle bridge diorama, and an 009 layout on a 4′ x 2′ board named “Stoker Junction”
Graham brought along the village/station board for “Raven Hill” (09 scale) which he is working on. Some buildings are finished and base ground cover has been applied.
Stuart brought along his lovely Great Eastern Box File Challenge entry and other models he has been working on: FR type slate wagons in SM32, 0-16.5 and 009 versions of Welshpool & Llanfair ex-Admiralty toast-rack bogie coach bodies.Dave brought along his “All Cars Stop Here” central Hong Kong street scene with a battery powered controller to run it.
Jim was displaying some new 009 models: a Pechot Bourdon 0-4-4-0 loco, a scratch built bogie observation/buffet car and a Townsend Hook 3d print under construction.Bill sent this photo in of his new IC loco in 1:16 scale. He has been able to add a few fittings to it recently.
