August 2022 Meeting

Norfolk & Suffolk Narrow Gauge Modellers

We met on August 6th at Barsham as usual, and nine members were present with a nice mix of work and layouts, but lacking in new locomotive or stock models as the test track was bare this time! A fish & chip lunch, plus tea, coffee and cakes were all consumed which makes the meetings very pleasant. Here are a few photos from the day:-

Three photos of Ray’s “Lysander Farm” in 009 (work in progress) with Baldwin 590 and F.R “Prince”. It is a nice Sussex style test layout enhanced by Ray’s buildings. The engine shed may only be temporary until a more vernacular style building can be used.
Bill’s 1:16 scale stock for his 10.25″ garden line. The armchair coach has just been finished.
Richard’s 009 “Staines Barn” with the Bagnall Wing Tank running on the main line, and showing beet being tipped from the upper line from the fields.

Two view’s of Stuart’s 009 small “Cilffordd Corris” layout which is now for sale. It creates the bygone look of the Dulas Valley very effectively.
I took along my table-top HOe layout “Sampson Vale II”. The scenery and one or two details have now been added to the port scene and a replacement rail car and trailer set constructed.
