Well, the Covid19 situation continues to upset the world of model railways as we knew it, so, unable to meet-up, photographs were invited for our November meet. Of course we are still able to obtain parts and kits etc and make models, so here are a few photos sent-in this month.
To cheer people up, here is a seaside photo collage from Dave of “New Walmington Pier” (009 scale) which was taken by a friend. When I saw it, I immediately thought “postcard”, so I added the text to look like one!
Alan’s Aldeburgh Beach Boat for his SM32 shunting layout “Fishie Fishie”, “Thwarts” (or seats) have been fitted and a fuel tank started. Also a picture of “Freya” a freelance vertical-boilered loco on a piece of test track laid in cobbles which has been scribed in clay.
A re-released Hudson Hunslet 009 kit by Five79 running on a Farish HST Motor Bogie, also seen in the paint shop along with Parkside Dundas Hunslet by Richard.
Stuart has been working on his Gn15 scale shunting layout finishing fencing, adding signs and painting the wall near the works. Also painted now is the chimney of his 5″ gauge American 0-4-0.
A 7mm scale resin cottage kit (422 Modelmaking) by Geoff.
Graham has been continuing with the village baseboard on “Raven Hill” (O9 scale). In the village now are a stone memorial (Langley Models) and a Post Box scene (Smart Models). The platform and station buildings have been fixed, and a collection of wagon loads and tools are being painted.
