August 2025 Meeting

Quite a quiet meeting this month when about 12 of us met at Barsham. Here are a few photographs of the more complete models:-

Above and Below: Jim brought along his 009 layout “Loose End”, has has slowly added several new details since it was first displayed at our 2023 Exhibition, being built for the Group Challenge that year.

Richard is building a 009/OO diorama for the PECO Rail 200 Model Layout Competition transferring stone from the narrow gauge to standard gauge using tipping V-skip wagons, along with small passenger train facilities.

Scratch building: Ray is building this 7mm scale barn for his new O9 layout.

Scratch building: Also for O9 scale are this goods shed and ticket office being built by Chris.

Alan displayed this Lionheart Trains NG7 (LHT-7NP001) Lynton & Barnstaple Open 3rd bogie coach.

Alan was also fitting brake levers and other details to these nearly completed PECO L&B Box Vans also in NG7 (O-16.5).

Bill has been working on this open Brake Van in his usual scale of 1:16.

David has used his developing small 009 layout “Ironbridge” to devise a DCC three-train movement system complete with sounds using Graham Farish 08 chassis.

Graham brought along his new small O9 layout under construction (to be named “Ramsdale”) to test trains on the newly laid track.
