Norfolk & Suffolk Narrow Gauge Modellers

11th March was a busy day for the Group it seems. Following a village hall coffee morning some of the Group stayed-on for an extra modelling meeting, while 82 miles away, Graham took his 009 layout “Shortwaite Hill” to the March model railway exhibition.

Work Tables:-

Stuart was working on the chassis of a Phil Sharples SM32 Lister kit.
Stuart was also fettling the cab spectacle frames off his 7.25″ South African Lawley loco.
Mike has been building and painting some Auhagen HOe lineside huts for an Austrian project.
Bill was working on an office/store for a tin plate carriage shed.
Richard was making some timber framing for an HOn30 sawmill building. As he was lacking some cutting tools, some secateurs came in handy!
Malcolm was making some SM32 hedging using twisted and soldered wire armatures, which are then gesso’d to attached rubberised horsehair and foliage.

…and in March, Cambridgeshire:-

“Willlow” leaves the goods siding on “Shortwaite Hill”.
The PW train waits in the loop at Shortwaite while “Fern” is seen at the engine shed.
Another small 009 layout seen at the show was Malcolm Harrison’s “Heys Quay”.
