Our Group met at Barsham Village Hall on the 8th August and we had three new visitors on the day plus “Merlin” the Welsh Collie who was well-behaved. We were glad to be inside as the weather outside was rainy and stormy. We now have some plans to put on an exhibition in Beccles, at Blyburgate Hall next March. Here are some photos from the meeting:-

Manning Wardle 0-6-2T “Wenhaston” and Sharp Stewart 2-4-2 “Southwold” from Stewart’s 4mm collection. The tank sides have recently been repainted after damage from bubble-wrap. (Note: not standing on correct gauge track – as I didn’t have any 12mm track) A recent H0n3 acquisition by Richard, a Colorado & Southern 2-6-0 which runs very well.
Views of “Staines Barn” (009) also by Richard. The converted Ford Model T brings in another load of sugar beet and is tipping the load into mainline wagons at the wharf. On Chris’s table, he was working on removing alternate sleepers from 009 Mainline turnouts to improve appearance for a planned O9 layout.
Two views of Ray’s new production a lovely O-16.5 scale 0-4-0 “Anax” loco by Smallbrook Studio.
Stuart’s Corris-inspired 009 mini layout “Cilffordd Corris”. He was adding extra flora to the layout during the day.Bill was designing a new loco in 1:16 scale based on a Tallylyn Petrol loco from the 1950’s.Graham was assembling a couple of resin Highland Castings 7mm huts for his next layout in O9 scale. It’s that pier again. New Walmington Pier by Dave.Ray was painting some 4mm Edwardian figures which he obtained recently.Stewart was repairing an old battery powered Rovex controller using old style (4R25, I think) block batteries. A handy mobile power unit.
