January 2026 Meeting

Norfolk & Suffolk Narrow Gauge Modellers

I believe there were eleven of us at January’s meeting, down on numbers as the skies decided to snow, and send a very cold wind from Scandinavia too. Virtually everyone was making a model, or altering a model at the work tables.

This was Nigel’s SM32 20hp Lister, and old model by I P Engineering.
Graham brought along his O9 operating diorama “Drawley”. A typical short passenger train is headed by a secondhand RHDR “Scooter” by Minimum Gauge Models.
Stuart has completed his Metcalfe viaduct, modified for 009, and it has been effectively weathered, he is now considering the best way to fit it into his layout.
Graham displayed two new buildings for his O9 layout “Ramsdale”.

Work Tables:-

Bill was repairing the switch on one of his 1:16 locomotives.
Neville was making a start on a 7mm scale 4-wheel Flat Cart by Duncan Models.
Richard built this Dundas Models 009 WHR Bogie Coach.
Ray was building a third short bogie coach for O9 scale adapted from a Wills
Taxi Men’s hut.
Malcolm was continuing with his scratch built model of Tan-y-Bwlch Station Building in 4mm scale.
Geoff was building a Chivers RC7830 O-16.5 Guards Van.
Clive was cutting out a continental “Cles Miniature” low-relief HO scale card building.
Mike was starting to build a Faller HO Blumenfeld Station Building.
Nigel built the body kit of an SM32 Summer Coach by IP Engineering.
