We had quite an active meeting on November 1st with 15 members attending. For the first time, our Group received a batch of merchandise of polo shirts, sweatshirts and caps in black and gold colours personalised with the Group logo and title. Thank you to Richard and David for arranging these.

Here are a few photos of the models on the day:

A Ruston 009 3D print and a Glyn Valley tram kit displayed by George.

A selection of Nigel’s 16mm locos and skips on the test track.

Chris brought along his 009 scale railcars, all either scratch-built or using coach sides for the bodies.

Two of Richard’s USA Empire City Railway locomotives for HOn30, a Toma Model Works Sandy River 2-6-0 and a Chivers Finelines GE style diesel.

Two new bogie O9 coaches for Graham’s Penny Howe Light Railway, made using coach sides from a 1:48 continental kit.

Stuart has finished building the Metcalfe viaduct after considerable work converting it from standard gauge to narrow gauge. Still to be weathered, and affixed to a scenic section that will slot into an 009 layout.

Dave was touching-up his 009 “New Walmington Pier” layout, and it now boasts mobile conveniences for the end of the pier in the form of a specially commissioned toilet van.

Ray has finished three lovely O9 open coaches scratch-built using plans from a 7mm NGA publication.

A charming 16mm loco displayed by John, based on a IP Engineering kit.

Another of John’s 16mm locos also based on an IP Engineering kit.
