Norfolk & Suffolk Narrow Gauge Modellers

13 of us gathered on 4th January for our new year meeting. There were hardly any finished models on display, but plenty of activity at work tables where models were being made. Richard was gathering info for our May Open Day Exhibition on 3rd May and starting the hall floor plan. It was a jovial day with everyone beavering away. Clive, on the other hand, spent much of the day cursing, or searching the village hall floor for tiny lost parts! ….. but we all have one of those days now and again.

Ray’s O9 scale passenger train just about complete apart from transfers to the coaches. The coach sides were made from 4mm Wills Taxis Men’s huts bought cheap at exhibition stalls. They have loads of character.
Also in O9, Graham was running his “Drawley” operating diorama. “Kappa” is a second-hand purchase, an Orenstein & Koppel MV2 by Black Dog.
Stewart was making a replica Southwold Railway “Wenhaston” loco in N scale narrow gauge for Nn3 using a Marklin Z gauge chassis.
David was testing his DCC installations on his 009 test layout.
Alan assembled this 16mm Dave Barnham Battery Mine loco 3D print.
Nigel was starting his Vertical Boiler 16mm Challenge loco project.
Neville was further modifying a Pola 708 HO Coal Mine Building for a ore loading complex.
Bill was planning seating and chassis requirements for two new coaches in 1:16 scale.
