12 members attended our November meeting in Barsham, and a few of our merry clan were at the “Lowmex 2024” exhibition in Lowestoft displaying layouts. At the village hall our regulars were making projects, planning layouts and testing stock.
To try to get prepared for next year, we discussed our 2025 meeting and exhibition dates.
Three 009 wagons displayed by Richard, a Peco GR-900 Colmans Mustard Van, a Dundas Models Welsh Highland Railway van and a 009 Society Open Wagon kit complete with tarpaulin cover.On the top shelf was an unusual 16mm 3D printed 08 style diesel with two Houstoun Gate Loco Works wagon chassis, the 08 chassis and the wagons are actually for a Santa train that David is building. The 08 body is a huge enlargement of his 009 version. A rubbish train of the O9 scale Penny Howe Light Railway displayed by Graham. An old Avalon Line resin diesel kit and Unit Models mine tubs.Stewart was painting an modifying an HO scale Mercedes Ambulance for his French layout. A while ago Nigel started this O-16.5 Sentinel 80HP Convertible type vertical-boilered loco, and now plans to get it finished.An HO scale US track maintenance “pop pop car” kit being modified to suit HOn3 by Neville.Richard was displaying a Peco Cricket Pavilion which will provide a nice station building for “Barsham Hill” (009), he was also cleaning-up a 3D printed railcar and a Nigel Brooks Ruston diesel.George was painting locos, one of them was this 3D printed Darjeeling style loco.Clive was cleaning-up the chassis of some German Transporter wagons.Layout planning for “Cresden Green” in O9 and O-16.5. The village name does exist in an obscure BBC Radio sitcom. The buildings are recent scratch builds by Chris.Stuart was modifying this vertical-boilered loco print for a gallery level on his home 009 layout.
