A good number of members came to our July meeting in Barsham, with several new models being displayed, plus a layout in progress and one other layout being displayed. We also discussed the good, and not so good elements of our recent show which (was well attended again), and any possible re-arrangements.

Completed models:-
Ray’s completed Smallbrook Studio Clio kit purchased second-hand, along with a scratch built guards van (in primer) made from wood strip and birch ply.
Some of John’s recent 16mm builds:-
Sheep wagons built from a cheap but very useful miniature crates as a basis and adding 3d printed metal strapping.…along the same lines, but using a jewellery box as a basis for an explosives van. and this superb scratch built bogie coach with LED lighting in the interior.
Some of Graham’s O9 stock, an MGM covered Lister Auto Truck a Unit Models Tool Van, and his first coach, basically made from a Hornby GW 4-wheeler plus Peco 009 Bogies.
A recent acquisition by Richard, an Grandt Line GE23 ton Box Cab Diesel Electric loco (HOn3).

and this 009 Knightwing kit bash on a Kato 11-103 chassis.
Ray’s new Bachmann (71-026) NG7 purchase, Quarry Hunslet “Britomart”.
Graham mainly brings one of his layouts to run, this is a photo from “Pye Rigg Works” (O9) of “Orthus” leaving the headshunt with a short goods train.

Houstoun Gate Loco Works and IP Engineering 16mm kits built by Nigel.Geoff was drilling and inserting wire in some of his 7mm Modelu figures for easy positioning.Stuart has added many items to his small “Norfolk & Suffolk Estates” O9 layout including a Floyd-Kraemer Lister and a laser cut card coach and wagon.Another photo of “Norfolk & Suffolk Estates”.A Fourdees Philadelphia (41-402K) 009 loco running on a Kato England chassis displayed by Richard.David was improving his 009 GWR Push Pull set which was 3D printed at home.George had built several 009 Dundas wagons.…and also displayed these modified canal barges made of resin.Stewart built this modified Pola HO goods depot kit & platform.Bills 1:16 wagon with removeable sides.Chris built part of this 009 railcar using a shortened Dundas Bro Madog Eisteddford coach (based on an Armstrong Whitworth vehicle for India) and runs on a Tomytec tram chassis.Also modifying 009 kits by shortening was Richard, building this RC810 Tramway Coach.Dave brought this Rokuhan Z gauge Shorty Mini layout along.Spotted in the cold frames on Stuart’s O9 layout is this regular raider.
Good meet wasn’t it. My to US locos are actually HOn3.
