Member numbers were a bit down at May’s meeting, as often happens there are other events going on too. This was our last meeting before our show in Beccles Blyburgate Hall on June 1st where, fingers-crossed everything will go smoothly.

The 7th winner of our Group Challenge has been engraved on the trophy, Ray Trudgett for his excellent 009 “Lysander Farm” in the Four Square Feet challenge last year.
Chris brought along his 009 shunting puzzle “Priory Waterworks”. Looking good as usual, though an uninvited visitor appeared from Graham’s “Shortwaite Hill” – Minitrains Bagnall “Hazel”.Four views of Grahams HOe “Sampson Vale” layout, a complete re-build of a competition layout made hurriedly in 2002. “Hazel” is seen at the port in the loco siding in the first photo, with detail on the quayside and the railcar set in the second. The Boulder Mighty Midget and short goods is at the ghyll bridge, and also seen shunting in the village.Chris’s completed 009 Tomytec/Amarelis Lisbon tram railcar.Geoff’s O-16.5 Simplex by Floyd Kraemer 3D print running on a Locos’n’Stuff chassis.Graham’s Pankot Models Tram 3D print with a couple of Avalon Line bow-ended wagons (to be finished and weathered).

Geoff was continuing with kit-bashed vans using 422 Modelmaking kits.On Richards table he was starting a Chivers RC43 Pitkin No. 5 Diesel which will be powered with a Farish motor bogie.Malcolm was continuing to detail his 16mm Cattle Van with 3D printed parts.This is David’s work in progress, a test layout in 009 for his workbench, as usual printed with 3D home printed parts.Stuart made up these Chivers 7863 On30 scale short line verandah coaches.Chris was building a chassis frame using a Tomytec chassis for a 009 railcar. The body will be a modified Dundas Bro Madog bogie coach kit.Dave was assembling these Metcalfe Terraced Houses to improve the look of his small tram layout.Also making up houses was Clive, this time from Brittany, kits by LRmodelisme.
