Our last meeting of 2022 was a very pleasant one with lots of models on show. Thirteen members came along to display or work on models or projects, and test layouts. Oh yes, and also to gorge some seasonal food, and freshly cooked bacon, egg, or sausage rolls, with many thanks to Richard, Zane and Carol. Here are a few photos:

New Bachmann 009 locos displayed by Stuart: Pen-yr-orsedd Quarry Hunslet “Britomart” and “mainline” Penrhyn Quarry Hunslet “Blanche”. Blanche is photographed with three Penryn Quarry Fullersite dropside wagons made by Stuart on the day. Richard was testing a new HOn30 micro layout board with a Shay and a diesel from his “Empire City Railway” stock.
Above: Geoff was adding and adjusting parts to his clever “box” baseboard system for his O-16.5 Challenge layout which will be contained in a totally enclosed box for storage and transport.
Ray was displaying some excellently-finished 009 models, a repainted and lined Bachmann “Peter Sam” Kerr Stuart, some David Church goods van 3D prints and this Minitrains Deutz OMZ 122F diesel.
(Left) Some more of Davids own 009 3D wagon/van prints, and (right) two of Johns 4w coach 3D prints and a quarrymens coach.
Graham displayed three 3D printed O9 scale models which he has made in the last month, a freelance tram loco, box van and guards van, – prints by floyd_kraemer (via Ebay).
Barry’s recent acquisitions, a lovely O-16.5 Smallbrook Studio “Etna” vertical boiler loco with a “locos n stuff” chassis, and bogie coach of unknown make, plus some Ravenglass and Eskdale style coaches pictured with an older diesel kit. Graham also brought along his current HO9 layout “Sampson Vale” to test – a re-build of a competition layout he built 20 years ago. He commandeered Stuart’s “Britomart” loco to run on the layout.
