July 2017 Meeting

At our July meeting, twelve of us gathered. There were quite a few "0" scale models on display and some photographs of these appear below.

Other items were some"On3" Southwold Railway coach sides made by Golden Arrow in fine etched brass displayed by Stewart and a Corris book of Talyllyn and Corris Steam locos shown by Stuart.  Philip was giving his new 009 scale NS2F diesel a test run and has also been scratch building a "00" scale bus station/tram depot.  Bill was doing a bit of modelling making a 1/16th scale bulkhead flat wagon.

Our forthcoming Running Day Exhibition in September was discussed further, and the 2018 Challenge voting result was announced and the clear winner was to:- "Scratch build or kitbash an unusual item of rolling stock.  (Not a standard van, flat, open, hopper, tank, coach etc.)    If kitbashing the resulting model should be beyond recognition of the donor kit."

Under test run is Richard's new centre-cab diesel, it is a home printed 3d model using a Tebee file.  Extra details have been added, and it runs on a Kato 4-wheel tram chassis.
