May 2017 Meeting

About ten of the Group gathered in Barsham Village Hall on a dreary old evening, it was good to get out of the cold northerly wind.

Several models were brought along this evening, some of them being "for sale" or newly acquired.

This Smallbrook Studios "Columbine" loco was brought along by Graham for his new Gn15 scale layout "Longstone".  There were also photos of the second scenic baseboard for the layout, a small stream in a gorge or "gill".

Alex brought a 009 scale layout which was built for and exam project at school, a superbly modelled rural terminus.  This layout is now for sale, and is pictured here with three "Beccles & Bungay Railway" vehicles, a Mintrains Bogie wagon a Peco L&BR van and a Parkside Dundas 4-wheeled coach.

Geoff's North British style 0-16.5 radio controlled loco is now nearing completion, and pictured here with a van used to store batteries for power.

This is "Lark", a tram version of a Kerr Stuart Skylark on Chris's 009 scale "Priory Waterworks".  The furnaces in the boiler house are burning well, while "Lark" positions wagons outside.

Bill was at work making the coupling buffers in card for a bulkhead flat wagon in 1:16th scale running on 00 scale track (10 1/4" gauge).

James brought along this Bo-Bo 0-16.5 scale diesel, the body being bits of various locos combined, and running on a Bachmann Underground Ernie chassis.

This is part of a collection of Gn15 items recently bought by Barry.

Part of a collection of 16mm scale models along with two live steam locos donated to the group for someone willing to renovate them.
