Five group layouts at Southwold Model Railway Exhibition

The 4th Southwold Railway Show & Model Railway Exhibition was held at St Edmunds Hall, Southwold on April 29th 2017 and our group exhibited five layouts.  The show is promoted by the Southwold Railway Trust to help with funds for their ongoing projects re-instate as much of the old route as possible and keep the memory of this little line alive.

Shipmeadow 009 scale

Baldwin loco No.6 hauls a goods train into Shipmeadow Station on the fictitious Beccles & Bungay Railway during wartime restrictions.

Longstone Maintenance Shed Gn15 scale

Three locomotives on show at "Longstone Maintenance Shed" a Gn 15 scale layout exhibited by Graham Watling.  The locos are all Smallbrook Studio kits based on a style built by Sir Arthur Heywood for the 15" gauge.

"Gneiss Cider", in Gn15 scale, was displayed by Barry Weston, a cider producing estate railway full of interesting details including this cat house wagon.  Obviously a very important feline!
