Trio of layouts at Strumpshaw Sept. 2016

Narrow Gauge Layouts at Strumpshaw Steam Museum

A trio of our members layouts appeared on 24th September 2016 at the Strumpshaw Steam Museum "Model & Miniature Show".  Along with several other model railways, on display were Aircraft, Bus, Tram, Boats and working fairground models.

This was the first exhibition for 009 layout "Ellerbank", a riverside scene with passenger station, goods yard and wooded area.

Seen here is a Sharp Stewart tram loco and bogie carriage arriving at the platform, and below, the same train later leaving and running over the stream.

"Knight's Yard", a super detailed small industrial yard in 1:16 scale.  Here a petro-mechanical locomotive waits in the loco servicing siding near the hoist.

And below, a steam loco shunts a van into the packing shed.

Our third layout being displayed was "Ashfield Green", a 009 scale layout.  Shown here is a modified Gem Vari-kit locomotive about to leave the passenger platform, also seen below from the opposite direction.
