May 2016 Meeting
Ten of us gathered in Barsham on 4th May. Several new locos and rolling stock items were displayed and during our discussion we counted the votes for next years "Challenge". It was initially a three-way tie, but as one member had not yet selected we gave the deciding vote to him. The result was to build a model of a narrow gauge railway-served building with the interior detail visible. Exact rules will be published soon.
Here are a few photos taken at the meeting:
An 009 scale Glyn Valley Tramway Beyer Peacock tram loco modelled by Jim on a Bachmann Dock Shunter chassis.
A 1/16th scale scratch built Donkey Wagon fully detailed with internal engine running on 16.5mm track by Bill.
Very original brake wagons and twin tank wagon in 009 by Chris. Inspired by S&DJR 10 ton special brake van 197 and built form Colin Ashby coach parts.
Graham brought along his 009 scale "Hawkins Tower" layout, seen with a Sharp Stewart tram loco and modified Egger Bahn coach about to pass the tea stall.
Stuart displayed an effective laser cut/engraved brick wall, which had been partly tinted with good brick colours, and a natural wood Heywood style wagon for Gn15 scale.
James was displaying a Krauss kit-built 0-6-0 loco in O-16.5 (Oe) on a Roco chassis, the body is a KS Modelleisenbahnen - Krauss C - Kuppler Waldbahn Dampflok, a laser cut styrene kit.
