Shipmeadow, a small rural station on the Beccles & Bungay Railway in the early 1940's as modelled by R. Doe. The station is at a low level, and up above on the hill is the old workhouse. The halt serves the local hamlets of Shipmeadow and Mettingham. Financed by local business men in the print trade, the railway transported woad and linseed for the production of ink at the factory in Barsham a little further along the line. Finished products were shipped out, and also the local mills and farmers used the railway. The layout is about 6ft long x 2ft deep.
