Hawkins Tower

"Hawkins Tower" is a 009 scale layout 27.5inches x 14inches with a backscene of 13inches high.  The base board was built and the track laid many years ago, but the scenery didn't get started, so it was handed to another member to finish off.

It features a lake in an old Victorian park where the locals and visitors go at weekends.  There is also a folly in the form of an old tower named "Hawkins Tower".  The old narrow gauge railway has been partly restored and it gives visitors rides around the park.  Refreshments are available at the tea and cake stall.

The layout can be operated manually, or using an automatic "station stop" module,
