March 2018 Meeting

14 members gathered at Barsham on a cold evening on 19th March.  There was a discussion regarding exhibition invites, our open day, and running day dates this year, and after our cancelled open day exhibition in early March it has been decided to go ahead with a re-arranged show on September 1st.  And, of course, we hope to put on a 2019 exhibition next year, in March 2019.

There were a number of models on display:-

Bill was busy (as ever) this time making some 1:16 scale track from obeche, balsa and card.

This is a scratch built 1:16 scale coal wagon made by Alan, now painted, and seen on Bill's track.

Alan has also been working on some Gn15 scale diesel locos, scratch built in card, which run on Hornby chassis.

Mike's 009 scale and perfectly formed Narrow Planet Bagnall side tank loco is nearing completion.

Phillip was test running this recent purchase, a 009 scale Minitrains Gmeinder diesel loco.

Also displayed by Richard on the test track was this Bachmann D Class open bogie wagon now weathered.
